Powell's Testimony Canceled, Future Rescheduling Possible

Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell's testimony in Washington has been canceled due to the national day of mourning for President George H.W. Bush. The event is not being rescheduled at this time though a future rescheduling is possible, according to the office of the Joint Economic Committee. In other scheduling changes, Wednesday's second estimate of third-quarter productivity and unit labor costs will be posted on Thursday as will the quarterly services report and ADP's estimate for Friday's employment report. Both the services PMI and ISM's non-manufacturing surveys have also been moved from Wednesday to Thursday. The Beige Book is not being rescheduled and will be released on Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. ET.
